Transformation in Design. (Apple iMac)

Transformation
In Design.

Apple iMac 1998
 Apple iMac 2012

This product was a successful since from the first day it was launched. Year after year new designs and new performance is upgraded to this computer. Designers must be very careful with their product design because that is the appearance of the first sight of the buyer. Apple designers always wanted to be different from other companies; taking from the first iMac it was the first one with all the memories and powers at the back of the display. The first one with a coloured cover and speakers at the bottom of the display. It was even a 15” display the first few with a display that big. It was a new age of technology where today 14 years later the iMac is a stunning computer with a large display of 21” or 27” with full retina by millions of pixels so the image with be more sharper. The edges are just 5mm but it still has that curve round from behind but do not forget all that power like the new core i7, thunderbolt, ultra fast graphics and over 3TB storage. It also is connected to a single wire for battery life, the rest is all wireless to make more room, to be comfortable and makes it more amazing. Designers have to make sure that while you are using iMac you have to be comfortable and with no pain in your back or even your neck. To avoid this huge problem they lift it up with a single wide stand to hold it in place and to make it eye level. From their first product in 1976 they wanted to be simple and easy to use. The body of the iMac is aluminum all over with just the logo in front, the display glass and the black square edge around it. Apple are 5 years more advanced then any other company. This is because they don’t want to make a new product they want a make a much better product.
